A very busy Friday evening, as it was one of the regular's birthday. Everybody was made most welcome, and we enjoyed the landlord's humour and hospitality.

MOST RECENTLY REPORTED AS PERMANENTLY CLOSED OWING TO FAMILY ILLNESS. One of the most unspoilt pubs in the UK. This pub is situated in the Market Square, and has no signs, apart from the licensee's name above the door to indicate that it is a pub. Opening times are very limited, usually just Friday and Saturday evenings. The beer is served by gravity dispense. In late 2023 the owner John Rees died and the property was sold at auction for £86,000.
