Evening. Despite being food oriented I was pleased to see a ring of bar stools at the bar. The Take Away Fish & Chips on the menu for £6.75 sounded enticing. The whole operation here looked very customer friendly and efficient.

Quiet Tuesday lunchtime. Very genial barman who was informative without being intrusive or a bore. Extensive food menu on the blackboard with some specials (which we had - excellent). The tables in the main bar are a bit regimental but there is a nice courtyard where you can sit and eat outside. Dog friendly. Three hand pumps with two beers on. Old Dairy shortly to join them.
