Comfortable hotel, restaurant, bar and brewery. Great home-brewed beer, and a pretty good breakfast too.

Monday lunchtime, and the weather was extremely changeable, from pouring with rain when we entered, to bright and sunny whilst we were inside, then pouring down with rain as soon as we left. We were given a talk on the brewery by the owner, and enjoyed a few of the beers that were on offer in the hotel bar. I decided to purchase a bottle of Welsh Black Bitter for Ian to sample on my return to Kent.

A country house hotel situated on the Horseshoe Pass near Llangollen, this pub boasts a bar, restaurant, accommodation, and a brewery in the adjacent farm shop. Chickens and a cockerel can be found wandering about outside the pub.
We have visited this pub twice, seen 5 different beers and tried 4 of them.
