Busy as ever on a Friday lunchtime.

Okell's - Steam Beer5.00ExcellentStrong golden ale with a sweet malty character backed up by some fruity hop. Full bodied with a sweetish fruity finish. My score 16/20.

Packed house watching the end of the Grand National. Must have been a lot of bets on the winner as a very loud cheer went up.

Large, opulent outlet formed from a former Nat West bank. High ceilings over the main bar area give a feeling of space. Usual range plus local and regional guest beers. Located in Iron Gate.
