Not as busy as expected for a mid Sunday evening in this friendly locals pub. The Welsh language dominated here with the odd English phrase chucked in for good measure!

Friendly as ever. Good to see Wrexham Lager on tap and at the same price as other lagers.
Genuinely friendly locals pub on the harbourside. Dog friendly too. Even offered to look after my dog whilst I went up the road for a meal. Now that's service.

Well served. Burton sulphur, some toffee and traditional English hopping. Drying, moreish finish.
On a wet and windy afternoon the Pen Cei offered sanctuary to a wet dog and its equally wet owner. Note: there is a separate lounge where dogs are NOT allowed.

Served slightly cold there was the trademark sulphurous tang, hints of toffee and a long bitter finish.
