In the same ownership (Convivial) as the Botanist in Kew and now a regular outlet for Botanist Brewery beers. Very quiet early evening, with five of the 12 handpumps in use. We were disappointed in the beer quality and left after just one.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Botanist - Queen Charlotte5.20PoorAn amber-coloured, soft-tasting beer, said to be in the Kölsch style. But this example was warm, flat and carried an infection of some sort. Not very nice.

Saturday lunchtime and Cheltenham vs Newcastle in the FA Cup was on. Sparse crowd in the pub with the usual mix of regulars and Royal Mail workers.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Sharp's - Doom Bar4.00GoodChestnt. Lasting creamy head. Malt best bitter. Good blend of malt/hop with some minerals running through it. Quite creamy in mouth. Malt is relatively rich and warming. Could sink a few of these
Sharp's - Coaster (or Cornish Coaster)3.60AcceptableGolden/copper, thin white head. Citrus minerality on aroma.l Nice hops. Bit thin in mouth, then nice drying earthy finish. Nice session bitter.
