06 Jul 2015 (Philip Pirrip)
Evening. Bar staff enthusiastic about their in-house brewed beers.
London Brewing Co. - Brother & The Bull | 4.80 | | Apricot and spelt saison. Took a while to adjust to the taste after my A.P.A. |

15 Mar 2013 (Stephen Harris)
Stout & Oyster Festival in progress in this smart brew-pub. I steered clear of the slippery molluscs, but enjoyed a couple of stouts. Pub appears much more drinker-friendly than on my last visit when I felt a little uncomfortable as a non-diner. The first ever cask beer from Weird Beard Brewery remained in the cellar and untried by me.
London Brewing Co. - Crema | 4.60 | | A smooth, oatmeal stout. Slight sweetness, but also a bitter, coffee bean taste. |
Partizan - Foreign Export Stout | 8.60 | | On keg dispense, and wallet-emptyingly expensive. Partizan’s first beer not to be sold in a bottle – let’s hope they progress to cask-conditioning. This was a huge and lush, black stout. Bit of toast, fruit & nuts, coffee. Slight fizz detracted. |
London Brewing Co. - Highrise | 3.90 | | Very pale gold, dry, plenty of lemony/citrusy hops. |
London Brewing Co. - Beer Street | 4.00 | Not Tried
London Brewing Co. - Vista | 4.50 | Not Tried
Rebel - Milk Stout | 5.20 | Not Tried
03 Jan 2013 (Martin the Mildman)
Fairly quiet early evening on a Thursday.
London Brewing Co. - Admirable Admiral | 4.20 | | Pale bitter with an extreme hop bitterness that is beyond my taste threshold. No balance of flavours with a very bitter aftertaste. Definitely not to my taste. My score 11/20. |
14 Jul 2012 (Martin the Mildman)
Fairly quiet on a Saturday lunchtime, but the phone was continually buzzing with bookings for Sunday lunch.
London Brewing Co. - Routemaster | 4.40 | | Not surprisingly a red ale with a good toffee malt character and fruity hoppiness. Not sickly and cloying like some red ales. My score 16/20. |
London Brewing Co. - Highrise | 3.90 | | Pale bitter quite highly hopped with a slightly smokey malt charcater. Rather dry in the finish. My score 14/20. |
24 Sep 2011 (Martin the Mildman)
Quiet pre-lunchtime on a Saturday.
London Brewing Co. - Beer Street | 4.00 | | Pale bitter with a crisp dry hop character giving quite a bitter taste to the beer. Fairly restrained maltiness giving a fairly short, dry, hoppy finish. My score 14/20. Unfortunately served too cold here so B for quality. |
Dark Star - Hylder Blonde | 4.20 | Not Tried
Windsor & Eton - Knight of the Garter | 3.80 | Not Tried
Otley - O3 Boss | 4.40 | Not Tried
