Here tonight because my band were playing. Fairly quiet considering the size of the place. Youngish crowd in - perhaps pals of the other band who were playing. Forgot to say, £3 per drink barrier now firmly broken - guess I'm used to the cheaper cowboy country pubs.

Belhaven - Caledonian Deuchars IPA3.80ExcellentHoppy and slightly sweet but nicely balanced. The hops have a great flavour but are not bitter - wonder what kind they are - must go on a hop tasting course. As good a pint of Deuchars as I have ever had - perhaps Mr P could confirm 'cause he was there as well? Come on Neil, do your first entry!

The pub is found in Edinburgh, Edinburgh, City of, EH2 1JE.

Big city centre pub/ restaurant/ entertainment venue. Luminar have now absorbed the brand which was first established in Birmingham (see www.thejamhouse.com). Jools Holland has some kind of involvement - probably of the marketting/branding kind. Opened late 2005. Former BBC studio. Includes large events room with balcony restaurant around three sides and stage for nightly live music events. As with many establishements in Edinburgh has a single hand pump serving Caledonian Deuchars IPA. Billed as a fine dining venue. One fine beer if you don't fancy the fine wines on offer with your fine dinner!.

We have visited this pub once, seen 1 beer and tried it.
