Visits Details

10 Dec 2011 (Alenomore)
Arrived at 1300. My first time at this venue. Lovely old building. Standing room only. Huge selection of winter warmers, specials and one-off ales. Open from Tuesday, hence, a stack of ales already gone and many replacements were noted. It was a shame that, from our local brewery, Kent, 2 of there ales were sold out and a special, Pig's Ear Christmas Porter 5.5% didn't turn up. Several visits are needed here if your'e serious about picking off the best ales, other than that, a good crowd in and nice to see many familiar faces too. Recommended.

Arrived just after opening time at noon. The program was described as "a work of fiction" by one of the volunteer staff, a reference to the many beers that hadn't arrived and had been substituted.
