Three of us decided to call in here for a nightcap before our trains home, fairly quiet for a mid to late evening Friday so finding somewhere to sit wasn't an issue.
Redemption - Trinity | 3.00 | | In top form |
Boxcar - Dark Mild | 3.60 | Not Tried

Early evening fairly busy we found a table by the fireplace at the rear of the pub.
Redemption - Trinity | 3.00 | | Wow instant no quibble first sip 5 star, superb and faultless. |
18 Jun 2019 (Stephen Harris)
Pleasingly quiet in the early afternoon.
Tyne Bank - Summer Breeze | 3.90 | | I didn't much like this spiced Pale Ale which tasted vaguely medicinal. |
Redemption - Trinity | 3.00 | Not Tried
Yorkshire Heart - Rhubarbeer | 3.70 | Not Tried
20 Aug 2018 (Stephen Harris)
A quiet early evening in this very pleasant pub.
Arbor Ales - Sean of the Red | 5.10 | | Hazy red/brown. A nice, US-style Red Ale. Initial taste is of caramel and then the hops work through. |
Vibrant Forest - Citra | 5.00 | | Wow. Absolutely no shortage of Citra hops in this one. |
Redemption - Trinity | 3.00 | Not Tried
10 Aug 2018 (Magnus Greel)
We were guests at a friend's retirement do at 4pm however we arrived an hour earlier and secured a table for 5 of us which we had to vacate at 7pm for a reservation. Fairly quiet upon arrival however this soon become standing room only as expected for a Friday evening.
Redemption - Trinity | 3.00 | | Refreshing zesty and flavoursome for its ABV. |
Vibrant Forest - Black Forest | 4.90 | | A break from Trinity I found this syrupy sickly black coffee gloop hard work. |
Neepsend - Demeter | 6.00 | Not Tried | I'm unaware of any of us who sampled this. |
17 Apr 2018 (ChrisE)

10 Mar 2018 (ChrisE)
Saturday afternoon and full but not uncomfortable. Beers are very reasonably priced for the area, unfortunately I forgot to note down the three real ales that were on offer.
Redemption - Trinity | 3.00 | | Very tasty for a 3% beer. |
08 Nov 2017 (Jack William)
Late afternoon- just 5 other customers in - a very nice feel
to the place - a proper pub. One off my "wish list".
East London (ELB) - Foundation Bitter | 4.20 | | Quite similar to the Pig and Porter - and same ABV - but a little more hoppy flavour. |
Pig & Porter - Pale Series Citra | 4.20 | | A very nice pale ale in good condition.
This was labelled up as "pale series loungers and idlers ADHA527" which the barman could not shed a my light on. £3.50 with Camra discount - very good for this part of the country. |
Redemption - Trinity | 3.00 | Not Tried
31 Aug 2017 (ChrisE)
Early afternoon. We sat in the little courtyard at the rear as my friend does not like piped music,
Crouch Vale - Essex Boys Best Bitter | 3.80
Redemption - Trinity | 3.00 | Not Tried
Tiny Rebel - Cereal Killer | 3.00 | Not Tried
15 Mar 2017 (Mitch)
Quiet mid afternoon, few in the sunshine and a few at the bar. Disappointing to find only 2 beers and when I asked for a traditional copper coloured bitter, I was told "we don't really sell bitter here"! Now I don't think she was correct, but I know what she meant!
Redemption - Trinity | 3.00 | | For its gravity, a good taste. Served a little too cold. |
Bad Co. - Love over Gold | 4.10 | Not Tried
Neepsend - Peppercorn Stout | 4.40 | Not Tried
