A Sunday lunchtime birthday treat from some friends who had heard this place is good - and it lived up to expectations. My steak pie was lovely. Simple but very tasty and nicely presented food - veg very fresh and cooked to perfection - lovely chips. Fish and chips looked great. Generous portions and all about £7 mark. Just a couple of people in the wee bar area and three other parties in the informal restaurant. area.

The pub is found in Dunning, Perthshire and Kinross, PH2 0RR.

Privately owned country pub in a small Perthshire town close to the A9. Seemingly the owners have not had it long. Relaxed, cosy and friendly with excellent value food. Decorative hops but not cheesy. Outdoor area by the river looks like it would be nice in summer. With sun and snow on the distant highland mountain tops, the drive over the Ochills on the wee road from Yetts O Muckhart is stunning.

We have visited this pub once, seen 3 different beers and tried 1 of them.
