The Ostrich Inn in Fakenham Road is situated amongst the fields of North Norfolk, betwixt Fakenham and Burnham Market on the B1335. The first recorded licensee of The Ostrich Inn was a Mrs. Mary Softley in 1846; The Ostrich was one of 7 drinking places in South Creake at that time but is now the only one still trading as a public house. Major refurbishment, re-opened and renamed as Plume of Feathers in 2015. Closed in 2017 and re-opened in 2021 with its original name restored.
