A brief early afternoon PNB visit it would've been rude not to sample the beers here. Friendly welcome from the locals and curious chatty barmaid whose recommendations were our next two pubs.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Old Mill - Yorkshire Elixir4.00GoodDescribed as a crisp hoppy bitter, I fould this rather malty and cloying although in far better nick than expecting here.

Lunchtime visit and the pub, which is even bigger than I realised, is very full indeed in the run up to a football match at the nearby New York Stadium. The staff are valiantly pulling huge numbers of pints. I came away with a much better impression than on my last visit. Other beers were also available.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Chantry - New York Pale3.90GoodPale, citrusy hoppy and very bitter.

Chantry - Black Diamond4.50Not TriedA stout, which ran out before we could get served.

Almost empty on Tuesday lunchtime. The large, but faded, sign ‘FOOD’ outside did not seem to apply.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Old Mill - Traditional Bitter3.90PoorA very tired, warm pint, that suggested it had been in the pipe since the previous evening. A rather neutral taste that put me off from sticking around.
