Comfortable bar dominated by warming open fire and large TV showing Tracey Beaker at high volume for the benefit of one bar staff and her youngster. Wouldn't it be nice if they'd asked if the TV would be a disturbance when we came in? They didn't, so we had one drink and moved on.

Imposing hotel on the outskirts of Maentwrog offering a hotel mix of rooms, restaurant and bars. Pleasant main bar with lots of dark wood and carpeted floors. Friendly to children but not to dogs.
