Quite busy with locals on a Saturday afternoon.

Cottage - Rocket Ale4.20AcceptableWas offered this beer from the cellar so could hardly refuse. Sweetish but with little malt or hop character, just a little residual fruitiness. My score 14/20.
04 May 2012 (Martin the Mildman)
Fairly quiet but conversation around the bar added to the relaxed atmosphere.

Mr Grundy's - Britannic3.60ExcellentFrom the cellar, a ruby mild with a good malt character and some fruity sweetness for balance. Good fruity finish. My score 16/20.

The pub is found in Derby, Derbyshire, DE1 3EE.

Very old, traditional pub looking a bit isolated in the middle of a new road scheme. Two main rooms, with low beams and traditional ephemera. Two standard beers on handpump and guest beers are often available from the cellar.

We have visited this pub twice, seen 2 different beers and tried both.
