First pub in Ian and my tour of Colcester. This is a 3 room pub with the front room being quieter and older looking so we sat there. Nice.

Early evening visit following football at Colchester United. Pretty much taken over by jubilant Leyton Orient supporters and the beer was flowing.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Grain - Harvest Moon4.50ExcellentA really nice, amber-coloured beer that hit the spot and the mood of the evening. Nice citrusy hop flavours. I saw no need to try anything else on the bar and stuck with this.

The pub is found in Colchester, Essex, CO4 5AA.

Located in Bergholt Road literally 2 or 3 minutes walk from the North railway station (not the Town one). On oasis in an otherwise poor real ale immediate vicinity. An Adnams house with various rooms on several levels. Very popular house with the keen licensees selling a large range of the Adnams beers and it looks like one handpump reserved for a non Adnams guest.

We have visited this pub 6 times, seen 21 different beers and tried 7 of them.
