Late on a Sunday afternoon.Fairly noisy with groups watching the racing on the lurid screens.

Ossett - Butterley3.80ExcellentA "Yorkshire Bitter". Initially I was surprised to see it, but in fact much of the beer consumed on my brief visit came from God's Own.Crisp.

An hour of peace and calm in here in the late-afternoon before a gruelling, over-crowded rail journey back to London.

Very busy on a Friday evening. My only complaint here is that the beer was served through a tight sparkler, and was well short of a full pint. I asked for it to be topped up and the barman begrudgingly put a short squirt of froth in to my ale, still nowhere near a full pint.

The pub is found in Preston, Lancashire, PR1 2UH.

Located in Fishergate just a stone's throw from the railway station at the junction equipped with traffic lights. A large interior with a large horseshoe shaped bar. Compared with the Preston of old this is welcoming for real ale with 7 handpumps of all pretty much local ales. The pub is accredited under CAMRA's LocAle scheme. Well adorned with those watch sports on TV banners outside it makes a great change inside to see the commitment to real ale.

We have visited this pub 7 times, seen 29 different beers and tried 8 of them.
