Stopped off on route to a short break in Sulfolk. Friendly pub with a garden that has views over expansive farm land.

Although only a few hundred yards from the railway, the pub is situated between Bures Station & Chappel & Wakes Colne Station, about a 2 mile walk from each. Colchester CAMRA Pub of the Year 2011 & 2012. It has two bars, a function room including a cinema, a large beer garden & car park. Its cinema shows some of the latest films on Thursday nights and it also has a bar billiards table, quoits beds, a golf society, mini library and a piano.
