Hydes most Northerly pub. This was an afternoon visit and the pub was fairly quiet so we were able to have a good conversation with the bar staff. A most enjoyable visit.

Afternoon. Eye catching frontage. Seems to be offering free food obtained via donations of late dated food sourced from supermarkets. Annoying to not have the CAMRA discount proffered.

My final port of call in Lancaster, and one that had been recommended to me. A superb atmosphere with a pianist providing entertainment. Although very busy the tenant found time to talk to me about beers and his pub.

The pub is found in Lancaster, Lancashire, LA1 1HP.

Small pub close to Lancaster railway station in Market Street, offering a variety of ales, plus folk, blues, and jazz nights. A piano is provided for ad hoc playing by capable customers. Eclectically furnished upstairs room, and the toilets are upstairs too. 5 handpumps. CAMRA discount for card carrying members. Renamed in 2021 for matters of political correctness.

We have visited this pub 3 times, seen 9 different beers and tried 4 of them.
