Pub two on our crawl of Liverpool was a bit of a balls-up. My feeble research had suggested this pub was associated with the Liverpool One Brewery. It is not. But the barmaid had the good grace to say that it was an easy mistake to make and that people make it every day. It turned out in fact to be a really nice stop off.

An unusual pub, situated in a former police station in the centre of the city in Campbell Square. Customers can choose, if they wish, to sit in one of the tiny, brick-built, former cells – each now with its own TV. Alternatively, there is a nice, quiet, walled, courtyard garden. Local CAMRA branch Pub of the Year 2022 and again in 2023.
