12:00 visit. Having arrived in Manchester Piccaddilly at just after 10am, for the start of a seven day Gtr. Manchester "jolly", I caught a tram to Victoria then a train to Manchester Burnley Road Station. This new beer festival was very popular today, a well laid out main hall with all the beers around the outside, a stage for the entertainment towards one end and a quieter, seated area adjoining, which is where we gathered to meet many old drinking buddies from the area. The ale selection was top class and we all had a good session before visiting some of the local gbg's. I sampled nine LocAles, all in handy third measures too. Recommended.
