Arrived tired and thirsty at about 4.30, so it was a relief to find it open. Only two locals in the bar, but we were soon joined by a group of other walkers.

Located about half a mile off the Dalesway, but worth a visit. Go into the town of Burneside and turn right at the first main road. Large, open bar area with small beer garden.
We have visited this pub once, seen 2 different beers and tried both.
