About the Temple (of Convenience)

The pub is found in Manchester, Greater Manchester, M1 5JW.

Situated in Great Bridgewater Street, this is a former public convenience! One set of steps go down directly onto the small, narrow, lounge bar with tables and stalls either side. The two, real toilets, are at the end of this staircase towards the rear. Both appear to be unisex. The bar itself is at the opposite end with the second staircase, with no access to street level, by the end of the bar. This appears to be used as an ad-hoc smoking area. No real ale, but plenty of bottled and foreign ales on tap. Intimate and with a good atmosphere, and ell worth a look whe in the area.
