16:30 visit. A short bus ride along this busy dual carriageway, from Fiveways, soon found this JD, situated on a busy junction. Noteable nearby in this pleasant district are Knotty Ash (home of Ken Dodd and his Diddy Men?) and the well known Alder Hey Childrens Hospital. A nice JD. Had an afternoon meal-drink deal to fill the gap.

Wetherspoons conversion of a former retail premises, opened in March 2000. Large, airy, open plan with a raised main dining area. All usual JD fayre on offer. A current 2013 gbg entry and 6 times previous in 2002/3/6/9-11/2.
