18:00 visit. An easy local bus ride from the Stoneycroft area to Bootle finds me in this very impressive Wetherspoons, ex pub, conversion. Nice place with a mixed crowd of early evening diners/drinkers. Moderate ale range on.

The pub is found in Bootle, Merseyside, L20 3BW.

Wetherspoon's conversion of a former Victorian villa. Tastefully decorated and fitted out. Several different areas to choose from to drink or dine. All usual JDW refinements found. A former Good Beer Guide entry, with two previous entries in 2011/12. Relinquished by Wetherspoon's in December 2016 and now run by an individual, selling beers from the Marston's group.

We have visited this pub twice, seen 14 different beers and tried 3 of them.
