Evening. I took away 2 nicely wrapped Treacle Town pies for the train journey - a pork one and a beef one. Nicely moist, proper lumps of meat and delicious. Worth Macclesfielding for.

22 Jan 2013 (Philip Pirrip)
Evening. A little confusion because the pump clips of the "on" beers were facing the door rather than the front of the bar as most people will approach from and order from there.
Storm - Tornado4.40ExcellentVery full of flavours of a fruity hue

About The Snow Goose Cafe & Bar

The pub sign. The Snow Goose Cafe & Bar, Macclesfield, Cheshire

Summary of Beer Scores

The pub is found in Macclesfield, Cheshire, SK11 6HN.

Opened in March 2011 a further addition to the Waters Green and Sunderland Street crawl. Calls itself a Cafe & Bar and this place has, to some, the feel of a ski resort bar. It has close ties to Storm Brewing round the corner and its beers are always on sale on at least some of the 4 handpumps that are in evidence. The decor is a mixture of dark red paintwork, sturdy wood-hued tables, subdued lighting, wooden benches, log burners and cushioned seats around the windows on the first floor. Split over two levels with a first floor wooden balcony at the rear, the cosy cellar seems to have disappeared by summer 2017 when the bar counter was moved leftwards to increase the ground floor bar floor space. The main bar is at ground level. Closed on a Monday.

We have visited this pub 8 times, seen 18 different beers and tried 7 of them.
