I caught up with Matt B in here and we stood at the bar for a while. Around 8-10 key-keg beers available.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Redchurch - Dry-hopped Sour (Motueka)5.50ExcellentGolden, and boy is it sour. Lovely too.
Redchurch - Lemon Verbena6.00ExcellentA very nice, lemony-herbal taste on a sour beer background.
Redchurch - Life of Plants4.70ExcellentTasty, sour beer with lots of herbal flavours from lemon verbena, lemon balm, bay leaf and sage.
07 Aug 2015 (Stephen Harris)
It had become over-crowded and a bit frantic at Mother Kelly’s, so most of my group moved on here where it was quiet, and we took over a table that was literally in the gutter in the alleyway outside. Around 7 or 8 beers available on key-keg, plus some bottles.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Redchurch - Brett Brown7.10ExcellentFrom key-keg. A very drinkable, strong, soured Brown Ale.
Redchurch - Farmhouse Saison6.00GoodFrom key-keg. A much rougher and earthier version of the usual Redchurch Saison.
30 Apr 2015 (Stephen Harris)
We really enjoyed our visit here. Great beer. Great music. Great brewery cat. About eight Redchurch beers on tap from key-keg, including some of their new sour range.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Redchurch - Little Earth5.20ExcellentA blend of a rye beer and a sour beer, which work really well together.
Redchurch - Wild Isolation5.30GoodCloudy, lemon colour and very sour in a brett sort of way.
06 Feb 2015 (Stephen Harris)
I passed a couple of Bethnal Green pubs that were too busy to contemplate entering (Royal Oak, Sebright) and then remembered that the Taproom here now opens on Friday evenings. Not busy and a very relaxed atmosphere. Lots of vinyl to rummage through and choose from to play. Seven Redchurch beers and a guest from Burning Sky, all on key-keg.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Redchurch - Mosaic DIPA9.20ExceptionalThis beer is fantastic!
Redchurch - Paradise Pale3.70GoodPale golden coloured and unfiltered. Sharp and a bit yeasty.
30 Oct 2014 (Stephen Harris)
Quiet in the early evening, with perhaps a dozen customers in. Seven or eight Redchurch beers available, brewery-fresh via key-keg. Pleasant surroundings in the upstairs bar, above the brewery.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Redchurch - Super Duper Export Porter9.00ExceptionalA special beer produced for the recent Indy Man Beer Convention in Manchester. Seemed some confusion as to the strength, 7.4% or 9.0%. The taste suggested the latter to me. A very strong, very tasty and very fine ‘Imperial Porter’.
09 May 2013 (Stephen Harris)
The one and only keg of Saison produced on Redchurch’s pilot kit was on sale tonight. It got thumbs up all round and can be expected to get another brew on a larger scale. Three other key-keg beers available.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Redchurch - Saison6.00ExceptionalOn key-keg dispense. Golden, cloudy, spicy, yeasty and somewhat sour. Very yummy indeed. I had scribbled down – aniseed, bubblegum, cardamom, orange peel – then I was told that all the spicy flavours came from a saison-specific yeast that there were no added botanicals at all.
Redchurch - Great Eastern India Pale Ale7.40ExcellentOn key-keg dispense.
25 Apr 2013 (Stephen Harris)
I met a couple of friends here soon after 6:30 opening and we nabbed the comfy seats for half an hour or so. The bar was soon busy with the arrival of a large group of Spanish beer tourists. Five beers available on key-keg, with a bottled selection too.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Redchurch - Shoreditch Blonde4.50ExcellentServed via key-keg. Pale, cloudy, a little bit yeasty. Both hoppy and a bit sweetish.
21 Feb 2013 (Stephen Harris)
A rather brief, mid-evening visit as I was passing on my way home. A few more people here than on my previous visits, as word of the Thursday evening opening is getting around. Five key keg and three bottled beers to select from.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Redchurch - Double IPA Chinook9.70ExcellentServed from a key keg. Wow! A top rate IPA with a fruity hop taste and a big alcohol warmth.
31 Jan 2013 (Stephen Harris)
I met up here with Robert and Simona , for a very pleasant evening. Brewing in progress made the whole session very fragrant. One quirk here is that all the key keg beers are served in two-third pint measures.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Redchurch - Bethnal Pale Ale5.50ExcellentCloudy and hoppy.
Redchurch - Baltic Street Porter7.50ExcellentDark and tasty.
Redchurch - Old Ford Export Stout7.50ExcellentDark and very tasty indeed.
Redchurch - Brick Lane Lager5.00ExcellentThere’s something about unfiltered lagers that I’m really enjoying at the moment. Very nice.
Redchurch - Hackney Gold5.50GoodStill rather dark in colour.
24 Jan 2013 (Stephen Harris)
First of what are to be regular Thursday nights here at the brewery, and there is a small gathering as it has really only been ‘word of mouth’ advertising so far. Six ‘key keg’ and four bottled beers are available and there is a good atmosphere.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Redchurch - Baltic Street Porter7.50ExcellentThis is a British recreation of a Baltic beer which is itself a recreation of a British export beer. Follow? So it is a dark, sweetish beer with an underlying burnt malt taste and hints of chocolate and coffee – with a tingle of carbonation. Lagered for one month in the brewery.
Redchurch - Old Ford Export Stout7.50ExcellentThick, black and foamy. A full-flavoured, rich, roasty stout. Only the carbonation detracts and prevents me giving this one five stars.
Redchurch - Brick Lane Lager5.00ExcellentA new beer, launched tonight. This is an unfiltered, yellowish-coloured lager with a very pleasant taste.
Redchurch - Hackney Gold5.50GoodUsually amber-coloured, but this batch has come out particularly dark due to some rogue crystal malt. A malty beer, enlivened by good hops such as Chinook.

The pub is found in Bethnal Green, Greater London, E2 9RF.

A micro-brewery in Poyser Street, established in September 2011, occupying two railway arches close to Bethnal Green tube station. At the time of writing (January 2013), 90% of the brewery’s production is bottled, the remainder kegged. Occasional cask versions are produced. In January 2013, a small bar was developed on an upper floor within the brewery and this opens to the public on Thursday to Sunday. In 2016 the brewery relocated to much larger premises in Harlow, Essex, however brewing and ageing of the sour beer range continues here and the bar remains the brewery's taproom.

We have visited this pub 10 times, seen 19 different beers and tried them all.
