Came here early Sunday evening for a very, very late lunch after spending the day at Seattle Center. The food was mostly the usual pub fare, but the beers were superb. Excellent range and a fair number of them too. The Seattle Seahawks were getting heavily beaten by the Chicago Bears on the TV in the lower level. There was a fair turnover of customers whilst Martin and me stayed for several hours getting increasingly the worse for wear. Would recommend this to anyone going to Seattle.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Elysian Brewing Company - The Immortal IPA6.30ExcellentCopper, lasting beige head. Very drinkable. Aromatic amarillo hops. Nice hop up front on aroma, not outrageous, then they kick in. It’s ridiculously drinkable. Hops are intense, but more aromatic than some IPAs. Some bitterness, not sweet or sticky and quite clean.
Elysian Brewing Company - Achilles Amber Ale5.90ExcellentAmber/red colour with lasting beige head. Red berry malt and hop aroma. Smooth in mouth, almost creamy with nicely balanced red berry malt and tingly hop to finish. Never a fan of amber ales, but this is good.
Elysian Brewing Company - Bete Blanche6.90ExcellentCloudy orange/gold colour with lasting off white head. Lemon/wheat Belgian yeast wit aroma. Lots of fruit in mouth, tangerine/lemon, good intense fruit balanced by hop and cereal. Very zesty. Belgian wit and tripel collide. Excellent flavours especially the zesty citrus fruits.
Elysian Brewing Company - Dragonstooth Stout7.20ExcellentBlack with tan head. Good stout. Plenty of flavour, lots of roasted malt, dry finish. Very black, some blackberry fruit in the malt. Reasonable juicyness before tingly finish dryness comes in. Rather a good dry stout. Juicyness is good. Some charcoal.
Elysian Brewing Company - The Wise ESB5.90GoodRed/brown with thin beige. Earthy hop aroma. Lots of hop. Some good malt but then a huge chunk of hop on end. The 3 Cs I guess. Nice, but my god, the hops.
Elysian Brewing Company - Perseus Porter5.40GoodVery dark brown, lasting tan head. Very intense dark malts. Lots of espresso coffee. Dry finish. Little bit of liquorice. Hoppy tingly finish. Nice.
Elysian Brewing Company - Loki Lager4.80AcceptableGold, lasting off white head. Medicinal hop aroma. Quite bitter quite a full tasting lager. Hoppier than I would expect, but I like it.
Elysian Brewing Company - Fields Pale Ale4.80AcceptableCopper colour with lasting off white head. Sweaty sock hop aroma and flavour. Very bitter finish. Some caramel, bit of buttery diacetyl maybe? I can’t see any other reason t have that butter. Could be better.
Elysian Brewing Company - Zephyrus Pilsner4.70AcceptableGold colour with thin white head. Nice hop on aroma, bit of lager malt. Ooh that saaz flavour, I just don’t like, but it’s not stale and that crispness on the end is good. Competent, well put together. Saazy pilsener with great hop finish. Good pilsener
Elysian Brewing Company - Night Owl Pumpkin Ale6.10PoorCopper, lasting beige head. Spice powder aroma, cinnamon and nutmeg. My first pumpkin ale. Oh god this is horrible. Not badly made, but just not my bag.
Elysian Brewing Company - Helios3.80PoorPale gold, thin white head. Bit of caramel lager malt on aroma. Very carbonated. Bit of sickly malt. Honey caramel. But finish is fine. Bit of Saaz. Not my favourite lager.

The pub is found in Seattle, Washington, America, WA 98212.

Up by Seattle University this industrial warehouse brew pub is sited on a corner of Pike Street. It has a college pub feel. Home to the Elysian beers, parts of the brewery are visible. Split level pub with lots of wooden floorboards and exposed painted girders. A great place to lose yourself for a couple of hours especially with their good range of beers, some with a Belgian theme.

We have visited this pub once, seen 11 different beers and tried them all.
