I was in a group of eight who found ourselves waiting outside this pub for noon opening. The landlord seemed a little suspicious of us (and the steady flow of other customers behind us) and we later found out that a group of right wing extremists were marching along the High Street in the afternoon.

1430 visit and a good crowd in. This is currently in the 2012 gbg and has been in 13 times before (1986/7/9-92/5/2003-7/10). This is a great little old pub, much improved on the ale front from previous visits. And I'm surprised it was last rated here nearly 5 years ago to the day!

From the outside it looked quite but inside it was surprisingly busy. The food looked plentify and there were plenty of drinkers in too.
