The pub is found in Herne Hill, Greater London, SE24 9HU.
Impressive Victorian pub in Half Moon Lane, owned by the Dulwich Estate, with a wealth of original features. The bird paintings in the snug are especially noteworthy. On CAMRA's National Inventory of Historic Pub Interiors. In mid 2013 suffered serious damage from the flood following a local burst water main and had to close for an extensive period. It was subsequently occupied by squatters so the closure continued. At the end of 2015 Fuller's acquired the lease and a projected opening date in late summer 2016 was initially predicted. Eventually re-opened in March 2017 and includes letting rooms. 12 handpumps, in three banks each of 4. Card payments only here. Large CAMRA discount given.
