Arrived here for opening at 12.00 with a bunch of guys from Ratebeer.com. The hall to start with was quite cold and it was sometimes difficult to see which beers were which on the stage. However, by the end I had a thoroughly good day with several good cask and bottled beers.

Oakham - Gravity5.10ExcellentAmber colour with thin off white head. Nice American hop aroma, grapefruit. Bit of Turkish Delight fruit. I love it, but then again, I would as I love this brewery. Great tangy grapefruit hop finish. Best cask beer of the day for me and it was my first.

The pub is found in Hackney, Greater London, E8 1HE.

Held at The Ocean venue opposite Hackney Town Hall. The beers were in a theatre style auditorium on a four layer stillage on the stage. Not all beers were on at one time. The beers were then dispensed via taps at the edge of the stage. This meant seeing the beer labels quite difficult. Plenty of seating and a good selection of real ale in a bottle and a decent foreign beer selection. The cask beer list had plenty of winter seasonals and festival beers and as well as some difficult to find beers.

We have visited this pub once, seen 1 beer and tried it.
