Early evening visit and the pub is quite busy. I was surprised to discover just how large this pub is inside.

The pub is found in Hoxton, Central London, N1 6AD.

A long-established pub, very close to Old Street tube station – the building dates from around the 1850s. The pub closed in around 2010 and became the site office for a major redevelopment project in the surrounding area. Contrary to many people’s expectations the pub then re-opened in 2013, when building was complete. There has been much internal and external refurbishment, including the revealing of some interesting Barclay Perkins Brewery tiles on the ground floor fascia. Inside there is a large, single bar, with an open plan kitchen towards the rear. At the time of writing (June 2013) this pub is a regular outlet for Hackney Brewery.

We have visited this pub once, seen 3 different beers and tried 1 of them.
