My first visit here, and although it is in the middle of nowhere it has hourly buses until 03:50 at weekends, ideal for night owls. The postal address for this pub is Shevington Moor, Lancashire, but it appears to be part of the Greater Manchester administrative area so I have listed it as such.

Situated in the quiet village of Shevington Moor, previously known as the Foresters, it became the Silver Tally in the spring of 2012, is a real local pub renowned for its real ales from the award winning, Prospect Brewery. Situated less than 500m from junction 27 of the M6, it is an ideal stop off, giving customers the opportunity to sample some of the best beers in the country. The welcome is warm and friendly and the decor inviting, making the Silver Tally a great place to spend time with friends and family. You can catch a bus to and from Wigan directly from outside the Silver Tally with 3 bus services running every hour.
