very popular with walkers, bikers and other tourists. Friendly owner (for the last 7 years) who is clearly trying to restore this historic inn back to former glories - and with some succes. Well worth finding.

Large freehouse pub and hotel in the Heddon Valley, Exmoor just off the coastal path and in an isolated spot with excellent walks. About 8 miles east of Combe Martin.
