01 Jul 2018 (Jack William)
Lunchtime after visiting the very impressive Arundel Castle, stately home and gardens - the family home of the Dukes of Norfolk - it seemed appropriate to come here subsequently. Ongoing gin and craft beer festival that didnít have many takers at 1 pm. I only noticed two real ales from barrels in the yard as I was leaving - they may have been a bit warm at 29 degrees in the shade with only water jackets to protect them.
Arundel - Sussex Gold4.20AcceptableCool and refeshing but a faint whiff and a bit cloudy.

Evening. Only the hotel bar open tonight. Very personable barman served me and stayed until the pint was emptied.
Adnams - Southwold Bitter3.70ExcellentFor a potentially low turnover house this pint was excellent
