The pub is found in Beckenham, Greater London, BR3 5NP.
Once known as the Oakhill Tavern then The Oakhill. Large corner pub with a mixture of old and new features. Front bar has been opened up with clear windows with venetian blinds. Rear Lounge is still comfortably furnished and apparently mainly occupied by "older" drinkers. 3 handpumps in the front bar and 3 handpumps in the rear Lounge. Reported as lease sold by Enterprise Inns (leased to Faucet Inns at the time) to another operator and closed in February 2014 for conversion to a gastropub. Reopened with change of name to The Chancery in October 2014 with substantial refurbishment along the gastropub theme now with 6 handpumps. Lots of outside seating in the rear garden and front patio areas.
We have visited this pub 4 times, seen 10 different beers and tried 4 of them.
