Late afternoon and fairly busy we were allocated a snug style table in the front bar of this amazing unspoilt art deco style pub.

Afternoon visit, we just happened to be walking past here on our way to another pub, my friend took one look at the exterior and said something to the effect of "it looks too gastro to me" but I seemed to remember coming here with HSB of this site and decided to enter. An unspoilt gem with lots of original 1930s fittings and 1950s early 1960s music playing in the background. The kitchen was closed in the afternoon so we enjoyed a period of wet sales only, we stayed a lot longer than originally intended by which time the kitchen had opened a bit early and we stayed for a meal and more beer.

18:00 Last stop on our tour of historic pubs. Busy with diners but again managed to get a table. Pleasantly surprised when the waitress brought us two bowls of chips with barbecue sauce dip gratis.
