Visits Details

29 Apr 2022 (Philip Pirrip)
Evening visit shortly after the recent refurbishment re-opening. Only change I noted was even more hiked up real ale prices and a smell of fresh paint. Places like this, at these prices, will make a revisit a rare occurrence.
St Austell - Proper Job4.50GoodWould have to be nectar itself at £5.75 a pint
Brains - The Rev James Original4.50Not Tried
Sharp's - Doom Bar4.00Not Tried

Late-afternoon and, I think, my first ever visit to this large and comfortable pub. Lightly-populated at this time on a Monday.

About The Mitre

The pub sign. The Mitre, Greenwich, Greater London

Summary of Beer Scores

The pub is found in Greenwich, Greater London, SE10 8NA.

In Greenwich High Road, an imposing detached building that was separated into a number of small partitioned off bars before the gentrification of the district and opening up of the pub into one bar. Conservatory at the rear. The pub at one time owned by Convivial so sold Botanist Brewery beers from another of its pubs. Pub freehold was reported as for sale in October 2013 so ownership and beer range may change. A local newspaper subsequently reported in November 2013 that this house had been purchased by Mitchells & Butlers. Closure of the Botanist Brewery means its beers are no longer sold here and the beer range is now standard M&B list fare. 5 handpumps. Fully refurbished in April 2022. Expect to pay through the nose for beers here. Card payment only, no cash accepted.

We have visited this pub 6 times, seen 13 different beers and tried 6 of them.
