17:00 Had intended to go to Hethersett after visiting an exhibition at UEA but the traffic controls put in place for a later fireworks display meant we ended up here. Every table laid up, small group of drinkers occupying one end of the bar.

Superb 17th C building. Dutch gables, beams, wood panelling, inglenook fireplaces, leaded windows and a suit of armour. The bar is one long hall with a raised section at the east end. Food is the main trade.
