The pub is found in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, SG5 1BT.
Former ball room and concert venue now converted into a bar and restaurant. The entrance is at street level and the bar is accessed via a staircase lined with photographs of some of the acts that performed there, including Jethro Tull. The upper room is divided into two. The décor is best described as Industrial Chic. Plaster stripped from walls to reveal bare brick, metal wine racks and cages for coats. The bar top is pewter. The restaurant is to the rear with an open kitchen. The venue describes itself as a "150 cover restaurant with open plan ‘theatre style’ kitchen which adds to the excitement of the dining experience. 8m long zinc bar serving real ales, worldwide lagers, an eclectic selection of well chosen wines and quirky cocktails."
We have visited this pub once, seen 4 different beers and tried 1 of them.
