This pub reopened in 2019,under the ownership of Purple Carrot Pubs.Much as HSB described, with the loss of the redundant beer engines, and the addition of a large bookshelf at the far end. A Sunday lunchtime visit, busy outside and in , with drinkers and diners.

12:15 Lunch visit. Quiet when we arrived, got busier with the one o'clock rush. I had met the Landlord previously when he managed a bottled beer shop in a disused brewery in Hampshire so we had a good chat about the Norfolk pub and beer scene.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Adnams - American Style IPA4.80ExcellentFive hops. Columbus, Chinook, Citra, Cascade and Centennial. Well balanced. One other drinker took his back because it was too bitter.
Adnams - Old Ale4.10GoodA beer that does nothing for me, and never has.

The pub is found in Wighton, Norfolk, NR23 1PF.

In High Street, re-opened in 2013 after two years of closure this is an unusual pub. Entry is by a door at the far end where a disused bank of beer engines and handpumps sits in the lobby. The first area of seating leads to the central area where the bar is located, with another distinct area of seating opposite it. Beyond is another area that is set out as a dining area. Lots of built in seating. A noteworthy feature is the display alcove containing a collection of Holkham pottery. Previously called Sandpiper. Closed then re-opened in 2019.

We have visited this pub 3 times, seen 8 different beers and tried 4 of them.
