The weather forecast was awful so I cancelled a trip to Strawberry Hill and popped in here to book a room for a Camra meeting, a few beers and back home to check on river levels as I had received a flood warning from the Environment Agency.

A quick visit while on the way home. I had a good chat with one of the locals about Ashford pubs.

The pub is found in Ashford, Kent, TN24 8TT.
Popular split level pub opposite Lidl supermarket. Mostly wet led trade. The pub was converted by the army in the 1860s from two old cottages which stood alongside the barracks after several licensees in the town refused to serve troublesome soldiers. At July 2015 found with all signage removed and grills at ground floor entrances and windows.
We have visited this pub 5 times, seen 3 different beers and tried them all.
