Late afternoon. We had walked to the Dragonfly Brewery but it was closed until 17.00 because they were having a boiler fitted, so it was a quick about turn and negotiate the very unfriendly (for pedestrians) road crossings. The Aeronaut has started doing two meals and a drink for £15 on Mondays - excellent value. The side show garden is a must see.

Evening. I had been sub-poenaed to visit by a friend who had been at lunchtime. Here and the George & Dragon have upped the beer stakes in Acton since my last all Fuller's visit. A feast for the eyes with all the bits and bobs on display but I did find the operating table lamp intimidating!
BeerABVScoreNotes
Laine - Acton - I.P.A.5.00ExcellentA really heady brew in tip-top condition
Laine - Acton - R.P.A. Random Pale Ale4.60GoodApparently a varied recipe hence the name. I found this with a berry nose but rather metallic

Lunchtime and the pub seems fairly quiet until I pop my head out to have a look at the large back garden and realise that’s where everybody is. This pub may well become my new ‘Heathrow Waiting Room’, given its convenient connections.

A brief early evening visit at a time when the pub is quiet. But I noticed that almost every table was reserved for later and there was a bouncer on the door by the time I left at 7:15pm.

The pub is found in Acton, Greater London, W3 9BH.

A very large pub in Acton town centre in Acton High Street, originally the White Hart – a Truman’s pub in its day. Converted in 2013 to a brew pub by the Drink in London group now called the Laine Pub Company; now one of the small chain of Laine Brewery pubs. The brew kit was prominently on view behind the bar, and fourteen handpumps were installed. The USP here was a circus performance space in a large room on the right hand side. Discount for card carrying CAMRA members. Closed owing to fire damage in the early minutes of New Year's morning 2017. Re-opened Friday 1st December 2017 albeit without its micro-brewery. Closed end January 2024 and put on the market.

We have visited this pub 5 times, seen 13 different beers and tried 6 of them.
