Late afternoon and fairly busy with mainly drinkers. We sat in the right hand bar where the rest of our Friday Evening Group had already occupied. The left side of the pub was taken over by a mothers and toddlers crowd so I was half expecting baby milk on handpump.

Marston's - EPA3.60Not TriedBadged as 'Old Barge' house beer however the bar staff were unsure of its nomenclature until one of our group confirmed it as EPA by other means.

11:40 Once again first stop on a Hertford crawl. I walked here from Hertford East station along the Navigation tow-path. Very pleasant. The pub itself was empty apart from us. As we were leaving the mum and buggy brigade were entering. Expensive pub the pint was £3.95.
