23 Oct 2018 (Stephen Harris)
As seems usual when I visit, this pub was crowded in the early evening rush.
Bad Co. - Pale Aura | 3.80 | | A golden beer. Very fruity – I was thinking of mangoes. |
Sharp's - Doom Bar | 4.00 | Not Tried
Dark Star - Partridge Best Bitter | 4.00 | Not Tried
Wild Beer Co. - Bibble | 4.20 | Not Tried
Gun - Project Babylon Pale Ale | 4.60 | Not Tried

Mid-evening and doing a decent trade. Prices are now typical for the area, as opposed to even worse than usual for the area.
Mad Squirrel (formerly Red Squirrel) - London Porter | 5.00 | | A good, full-bodied, chocolaty Porter. |
Hammerton - Life on Mars | 4.60 | | Red Ale with both a fruity sweetness and a hop bitterness. |
Sharp's - Doom Bar | 4.00 | Not Tried
Hammerton - N1 | 4.10 | Not Tried

This seems to be one of those pubs that is always busy. Odd how the cask beer is now cheaper than it was two and a half years ago – although £4:50 a pint is not exactly a bargain.
CTZN (formerly Kew) - Richmond Rye | 4.30 | | A hazy, amber-coloured beer with the spiciness of rye. |
Sharp's - Doom Bar | 4.00 | Not Tried
Hackney - American Pale Ale | 4.50 | Not Tried
Hammerton - Penton (or Pentonville Oyster Stout) | 5.30 | Not Tried
04 Apr 2017 (Stephen Harris)
I had somehow forgotten about the bad taste left in my mouth by my last visit and popped in here for a pint before catching a Jubilee line train from across the road. Still expensive. Still crowded.
London Beer Factory - Sayers Stout | 4.50 | | A smooth and slightly dry, black Stout. |
Sharp's - Doom Bar | 4.00 | Not Tried
Five Points - Brick Field Brown | 5.40 | Not Tried
22 Sep 2014 (Philip Pirrip)
Evening. Very cautious after reading the previous review.
Batemans - Black & White | 3.60 | | Flat, little head. Almost average but at £4.40 pp. pleased I had only had a half |
Sharp's - Doom Bar | 4.00 | Not Tried
Sharp's - Own | 4.40 | Not Tried
Wychwood (now brewed at Banks's) - Bountiful | 4.00 | Not Tried
Sharp's - Red Ale | 4.10 | Not Tried | Pumpclip calls this a Limited Release! |

Extraordinarily high prices did not seem to be putting off a busy rush hour trade. When I queried the £4:80 I had just been charged (without prior warning) for my pint, I just received a shrug from the barman. Don’t expect to see me in here again in a hurry.
Brick - Chinook | 4.50 | | Golden and well-hopped beer from one of London’s newest breweries. |
Belhaven - Caledonian Deuchars IPA | 3.80 | Not Tried
East London (ELB) - Pale Ale | 4.00 | Not Tried
East London (ELB) - Jamboree | 4.80 | Not Tried
Caledonian - Bitter Winter | 4.80 | Not Tried
