An almost embarrassing length of time since my last visit here. Great to see the way the venue has matured and attracted other business into the neighbouring arches. Initial enthusiasm for cask beer seems however to have waned.

Canopy - Tall Trees4.20GoodCanopy Brewery have apparently switched from key-keg to a more conventional style of kegging and this beer is a bit too cold and fizzy for my tastes. The good hoppy flavours are nevertheless apparent.

Pork Pie Friday – and the first introduction of cask-conditioned beer here, to supplement the now extensive range of bottled beers that are available. A good crowd in.

East London (ELB) - Cowcatcher4.80ExcellentOn gravity dispense, and absolutely delicious.

Only the second or third day of opening here, and I meet a couple of friends at lunchtime. For today, there are just a few cooled bottles in the fridge, but there will soon be a much more extensive beer range and a ‘cask beer of the week’. A very promising new opening, and not far from my home. I also enjoyed a bottle of Pressure Drop Pale Fire – but forgot to look at the small print on the label to see which version of the beer it was.
BeerABVScoreNotes
London Fields - Love Not War4.20ExcellentRed-brown beer with a fruity background and a peppery hop flavour. Very good from the bottle.
