21:30 Meal stop. Cafe was virtually empty but we ordered food and were duly served. I went for the Eel in Green Sauce and the man who served us very kindly gave me a list of the herbs used in the recipe.

The pub is found in Beersel, Belgium, 1650.
Very much a café of two halves. The right hand side is very traditional with fine plasterwork and encaustic floor tiles, and probably dates from the 19th century; the left hand side is far more modern. The family were lambic blenders until 1963 producing a Gueuze and a Kriek and the left hand half of the café was part of the old beer production area and modernised when production ceased. The bar counter is made of schist.
We have visited this pub once, seen 1 beer and tried it.
