There is a beer festival in progress, with a stillage set up in the theatre. Many of the beers have come from Cumbria. We made two brief visits, either side of other business in Washington, and I list just those I drank.
Stringers - Bauhaus4.70ExcellentA very pale, tasty beer.
Leamside - American Pale5.10ExcellentPale gold in colour. Hoptastic.
Fell - AAA4.40GoodAmber-coloured and malty.
Shenstone - Hop3.80GoodVery pale gold in colour. Hoppy, but a little short of condition.
Captain Cook - Botany Bay4.00PoorAmber-coloured. A bit green and cloudy. Malty, yeasty.
