The pub is found in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire, EN11 0EH.
This canal-side pub was established by 1600 under the name Kings Head, and was re-named the Rye House by 1895. Severe structural damage was detected in 1978 and, despite being a listed building, the pub was demolished. The pub of today is a 1980-built reproduction. It is a large and comfortable pub with extensive gardens. It stands almost next door to Rye House railway station and close to the speedway and go-cart tracks.
We have visited this pub twice, seen 6 different beers and tried 2 of them.
