The pub is found in Hastings, East Sussex, TN34 3EG.
Old Town pub in George Street with an impressive external facade. Established by 1798, the pub once made much of its business supplying ships moored offshore. Very much a town centre pub in the past, before the town centre shifted westwards to the Priory Valley. The Assembly Rooms to the rear were once part of the pub. Formerly a Whitbread house, now passed to Shepherd Neame. There are three rooms, although much of the partitioning has been removed, with the left hand side laid out for restaurant use. 4 handpumps.
We have visited this pub twice, seen 5 different beers and tried 2 of them.
